The Frutillar Music (Semanas Musicales )weeks is celebrating its 43rd year, and runs from January 27th through February 6th, 2011. It is one of the oldest music festivials in Chile.
Finally, after nearly 12 years of planning and construction, the Semanas Musical will incorporate the newly inaugurated Theater del Lagos in to the schedule. The Theater del Lagos is the newest and most modern concert hall in Latin America.
The music week festival however is not just held in the Theater del Lagos. It is spread throughout the town of Frutillar along the lake. Concerts can be found on the beach, in the the streets, and tend to focus around the Music school in Frutillar, Bajo ( Lower Frutillar ).
