As small towns in Southern Chile go, Frutillar is well stocked with ATM machines through-out the town and banks.

Banks in Frutillar

Frutillar has two banks. Both are full service banks, keeping regular banking hours in Chile. Both banks in Frutillar can handle international exchange and wires. Each has an exterior door with 24 hour services and are located in Frutillar Bajo.

Banco Estado Frutillar
Located in Frutillar Bajo in front of the lake.
OPEN 9 AM to 2 PM
Master Card only and select visa cards from some networks.

Banco Santander Frutillar
Located in Frutillar Bajo in front of the lake.
Open 9 AM to 2 PM
24 hour ATM machine, accepting visa and other cards.

Other ATM machines can be found at all three major grocery stores in Frutillar Alto (e.g. Bigger, Unimarc), and almost every establishment in Frutillar accepts international visa, master card, and most major credit cards.

Red Compra is the national credit card company, and has recently limited withdrawals to 200,000 pesos at a time. You can take more than 200,000 pesos a day, just it must be done in seperate transactions. Typical fee is 2,500 pesos per transaction at most ATM in Chile. Best to use an ATM card that your bank will refund the fees.
