Futaleufú in the Patagonia of Chile

Futaleufú is one of the small towns where an international event like the Cruces de los Andes race can easily double the population for a day. In fact, there were almost as many participants as there are residents of Futaleufú, with more than 800 runners from around the World. 
The Cruces de Los Andes Race is run every year at various points across the Chilean / Argentina boarder. The international boarder crossing 10 kilometers from Futaleufu, Chile was chosen for the final day of the 2007 race.
The recent race started in Esquel
Argentina, and over the course of three days arrived to a big
reception in the town of Futaleufú. The race ending was also
culmination of weekend in Futaleufú filled with festivals and
rodeos, as the Futaleufu week.
