Unlike Aspen Colorado, Pucón has something different to offer. Pucón is one of the hottest tourist destination in all of southern Chile, both for Chileans and foreigners. Pucón is nestled against the Villarrica volcano, on the shores of lake Villarrica. It has the feel of an undiscovered Aspen Colorado, with fly fishing, skiing, and rafting at the core tourist activities. Unlike Aspen Colorado, Pucón has something different to offer.

Around Pucón southern Chile you will find many pubs, bars, and nightclubs. The summers in Southern Chile are the best time for catching the local nightlife, and many are only open in the summer months. In the winter, the bars are much more quiet, and are great places to relax and talk . Still, weekends and holidays, tend to bring the clubs alive Pucón.  Normally, the weekend runs from Thursday night to Saturday night around Pucón.  Sundays are traditionally very quiet. One of the better deals are the "shopperias", which are lower end bars with cheap deals on very large national brand beers such as Escudo.
