The summers around Puerto Varas are the best time for catching the local nightlife. Most bars are open all year in Puerto Varas. In the winter, the bars are much more quiet, and are great places to relax and talk. Still, weekends and holidays, tend to bring the clubs alive.  Normally, the weekend runs from Thursday night to Saturday night in much of Chile.  Sundays are traditionally very quiet. Most of the bars will have the international brands of beers and drinks, but also look for the Southern Chile Beers such as Valvier, Kuntsman, and Colonos.
