Aysen, southern Chile is the 13th region of Chile. It is is sits squarely in the heart of the Chilean Patagonia, and is famous as a remote tourist destination for fly fishing, hiking, and camping. Aysen is also one of the least populated regions with slightly over 100,000 residents in total. There are no direct roads to Aysen from the Central region of Chile. You must either get there by Plane, boat, or by driving around through Argentina to reach the Aysen and the greater Chilean Patagonia. That said, it is the remote location of Aysen at the tip of South America that protects this natural wonder.
