| Temuco is the largest city in region IX ( araucania ) and Southern Chile. It was founded in 1881. Among its greatest attractions: Cautín River, De la Araucanía Regional Museum, Nielol Hill Natural Monument, the municipal cultural center, The traditional Temuco Market, Niri-Vilcún. Temuco is also the travel and economic hub, and most travel to other cities and towns in the region will involve passing through Temuco. |

There are five large bus terminals in Temuco. They are the terminal Rodoviario/Tur bus, terminal Buses Rurales, terminal Jac, terminal de Buses Bio-Bio . You can also most times simply catch a bus on the side of the road.
