| Villarrica is starting to come into its own as a tourist destination. It has long been a destination with backpackers, and has the infrastructure that a backpacker would expect. It was one of the few places in Chile that we would say there are real international hostels in the sense that you would find them in Europe or else where. This is because more than a few backpackers and travelers made it to Villarrica and never made it any further. |
