Temuco-tennis-courtsThe staff from Sport Action are all highly qualified and many are former players from Chile, Argentina and Europe. One sparring trainer once held first place in Tennis for Chile. This is a family owned and operated business with many years experience in Santiago. They are well staffed with a psychologist and personal trainer. Being family owned and operated keeps it personal and the staff work well with children of all ages from 6 to 18 and even those with disabilities. Their goal is to train in all aspects of physical, technical, psychological values. They also participate in tournaments both Nationally and Internationally. They offer many activities such as trips to other cities and parent child competitions.

The location is north of town close to the Holiday Inn on the same road as the bus station and auto inspection. Once you enter the club, which is gated and private, you feel as if you've traveled a great distance to reach the country side. With a Spanish flair you also get a European vibe. There are three clay courts which are immaculately maintained. The courts are in use by the tennis club from 3 to 7 weekdays and different hours on the weekends. At all other times it is for use by members of the Centro Espanol. Actually you don't need to be from Spain to join this club and it is well worth researching if you enjoy football, swimming, indoor gymnasium, playgrounds and a private party salon. You will need a referral by a current member to join this private club. The main location for this Spanish club is in the Center of town and offers many classes including Flamenco dancing. This is not Chileno culture but culture none the less. The Academia de Tenis Sport Action has an agreement to use all the facilities of the Centro Espanol.

The indoor gymnasium has a wood floor and is always available for rainy days. This avoids bothersome make up classes. It is one of the nicest indoor gyms to be found in the city.

The classes last between 1.5 and 2 hours depending on the ages of the children. The program includes training with a personal trainer off the court. It's not just about hitting the ball. It encompasses all that is involved in becoming an athlete but is not so serious that the kids feel any pressure. The children almost always seem to be smiling or laughing. The groups are kept to around 4 or 5 which encourages strong bonds between tennis mates and professors.

The center also offers adult classes either private or in groups in the mornings or late evenings. The price for children per month, twice a week, is around 50 dollars. You have an option of how many days per week you want and the price is adjusted accordingly. No matter the level your child has or what your goals are Academia de Tennis Sport Action will be ready to accommodate you.
